At The Black Lamb, Valentine’s Day is an excuse to slow down, order the good stuff and enjoy a meal that unfolds at its own pace.
On Friday 14th February, we’ll be serving a Valentine’s set menu all day and into the evening, designed to feel generous, seasonal and just a little bit indulgent.
The menu opens with Jersey oysters, mushroom Marmite éclairs, and squid ink bread with trout roe, before moving into richer courses like crab ravioli and a savoury watercress and Keen's cheddar truffle soufflé.
The main course brings depth and comfort with wild fallow deer, pumpkin and honey berries, served alongside crispy salt potatoes, endives and pear. Dessert comes in the form of white chocolate profiteroles, because some traditions are worth keeping.
Add the optional wine pairing and you’ll meet Naughty Vintage — our Valentine’s-only name for the Nutbourne wine you already love, dressed up for the occasion.
The set menu is £78 per person, with an optional £45 wine pairing. A proper Valentine’s, without trying too hard.
